Dalal Street Week Ahead:
- Last week was expiry week and hence it was volatile.
- So far earnings season has been satisfactory in India except some Public sector banks.
- But in US, so far earnings season has not been good.
- Next week is going to be light on earnings and heavy on data.
- On Monday, Manufacturing PMI data is due from India, UK, German and US.
- Any number below 50 will keep our markets under pressure as markets are expected to open lower on Monday.
- On Tuesday, there are no market moving data or results.
- On Wednesday, India Services PMI data is due. BHEL will declare results. In US, ADP Nonfarm Employment data is due. Cognizant will declare results in US and that will have some effect on Indian IT stocks.
- On Thursday, there are no important data except jobless claims in US.
- On Friday, Non Farm Payroll and Unemployment data are due from US.
- One good thing about next week is that China market will be closed for the whole week due to Chinese New Year and there will be no bad sentiment due to China market.
