Pre Market Report, May 21, 2015

Pre Market Report:


  1. US markets ended mixed.
  2. There was some recovery in US markets after the Fed minutes.
  3. Fed minutes has become a non event as for as the markets are concerned.
  4. Asian markets are also mixed.
  5. China PMI came lower than 50 but better than expected, so China is up.
  6. Both FIIs and DIIs were on buy side yesterday, though marginally.
  7. Tata Steel will be in focus after a bad result, but along the expected lines.
  8. There are no important results today, but tomorrow, SBI and ITC will declare results and that will make or break the momentum.
  9. There is a good news on monsoon front, the rainfall is likely to be more than forecast last month.
  10. Finally IT stocks are in action, four out of 5 top performeres were IT stocks yesterday.
  11. As I have mentioned earlier, markets are likely to consolidate until SBI results are out tomorrow.
  12. There may be some action in SBI ahead of results.
  13. Nifty is expected to trade in the range of 8380 to 8480.

  4. Sir, is there any other best option selling strategies other than 700 points beyond or behind selling.

    For,example.
    Today nifty spot closing 8000
    I will sell 7300 put
    And selling 8700 call

    Is any other better way to make money.
    In low risk low profit.
    You suntv programe is more informative.

    1. Hi,
      There is no standard rule for selling options like 700 points as you have mentioned. Yesterday around 3.15, Nifty was ruling above 8400, there are only 5 more trading sessions for this expiry, even if Nifty falls 80 points everyday, still Nifty will expire above 8000, but 8000 Put option was trading at Rs 5. So sold huge quantities of 8000 Put option. Just to be on safe side I also sold some quantity of 8700 Call option at Rs 4.25. The return may be around 2% for those who pay only Span Margin.(I pay only Span margin). But getting 2% in a week time with such a low risk is great. 2% per month works out be about 25% per annum. How many people make 25% per annum from the stock market?

      Nifty option Span Margin is around Rs 12,500 and Exposure Margin is also around Rs 12,500. Only for those who do huge volumes some brokers will waive exposure margin. For further details, you may call me at 93817 68992.
