Weekly Options in Bank Nifty:
- NSE is introducing Weekly Options in Bank Nifty from May 27.
- There will be 7 weekly options, excluding the monthly option, available for trading.
- Weekly options will expire on every Thursday.
- Earlier BSE introduced Weekly options in Sensex.
- But the volume did not pick up.
- We have to wait and see whether the volume picks up or not.
- Nifty options are more liquid than Bank Nifty options, then why Weekly options are introduced only in Bank Nifty, not in Nifty?
- That is a strange, only NSE will have to explain this.
- It is surprising that SEBI has given approval without asking these questions.
- Anyway this is good only for those who have lot of collateral with exchange to make small money or expiry day traders.
- We will wait and see how the volume picks up.
- If there is a good volume, then NSE may introduce Nifty Weekly options in future.
